Materials Exploration
My first thought when we started working on this film was to use the needle felt technique for all the props and puppets, we soon realised that it would have been almost impossible for us to do so, as it is very time consuming to create something this way and neither of us had ever used this technique, which would have made even slower. Instead we decided to use a mix of materials that was easily or already available for us: tin foil and Newplast plastiline for the puppets, yarn wrapped around tin foil for trees, fake grass and moss, cork and real rocks and sticks from the park.
